The start of the association Réseau Entreprendre Dakar
On March 16th, a hundred people participated in the official launching of the association Réseau Entreprendre Dakar. In the morning, a nice press conference gathered about thirty journalists.
Rémy Mulliez and Véronique Baradel, respectively President and Director of Réseau Entreprendre International were present, as well as Aziz Qadiri, President of Réseau Entreprendre Maroc, the godmother's association of the future one.
A big thank you to Mafal LO and Abdoulaye Senghor, two French laureates (Réseau Entreprendre 93 and Paris) with Senegalese origins, who came especially to support this beautiful initiative and talk about their experience as laureates. In the case they were not already convinced, all the CEOs who were present were litterally dazzled by those two testimonies and the exchanges after the event which allowed them to measure the enthousiasm and will of taking part in Réseau Entreprendre Dakar.
This launching is the outcome of a work that took several months : a feasability study, financed by the Sonatel Fundation was realized by Marina Sow. The steering comittee has mobilized for a few months now, a lot of CEOs committed to creating employment in Dakar.
Dédée Ba Gueye, President of the steering committee and now of the association : « By giving the leading role to CEOs, the association Réseau Entreprendre Dakar initiates a new approach in helping the creating and development of companies in Senegal. The idea of an « honorary loan » without guarantee and interest is also a real revolution in Senegal where the entrepreneur is more used to an obstacle course than support. »
Congratulations on this 32nd international implantation, the first in Subsaharian Africa.
